  1. William Gage (verified owner)

Tim’s book “The Art of Goosebumps” is a great read for those wanting to know the stories behind his Goosebumps series cover art and own their own hard cover coffee table book of all of his prints in one nice collection (plus several sketches of different versions of the covers before their final colorized versions)

The front cover is a nice mix of matte texture (Welcome to Dead House) and 5 other books plus embossed logos that stand out and create a very nice texture in vibrant shades of green and blue.

In addition to the art and sketch showcase and stories, the book also includes interviews with both series author R.L. Stine and Illustrator Tim Jacobus.

R.L. Stine also provides a bit of commentary on each image and you’ve got a record of the books in order, with month and release year listen in chronological order.

One *very small* critique I have about this book (though not a criticism) is that there isn’t an explanation of what happened to “Goosebumps Gold”, the series that covers were created for but books not written/released from.

But since the primary focus of the book is showcasing anc celebrating Jacobus’ art and his and R.L.’s reflecting on it, this is a small gripe.

Top 5 Covers for me are probably (not really in any particular order)

    The Haunted Mask (1)
    Monster Blood (1)
    One Day at Horrorland
    Calling All Creeps
    The Blob That Ate Everyone

    Honorable Mentions

    Horrors of the Black Ring
    The Haunted Mask Lives

Great book overall. Please support Tim Jacobus by buying this book from him here on his site, rather than on Amazon, to help him out.
